Eleven planned activities across four programme areas over the next three years.
Commission a structured research project to collect comprehensive data on farmers and private agribusinesses across Koshi Province — covering crop types, land area, revenue, employment, challenges, and growth plans.
Publish three policy briefs addressing key agricultural and trade barriers in Koshi Province, presented to the provincial government with specific, actionable recommendations.
Organise multi-stakeholder roundtables to present research findings and build coalitions for policy change — anchoring Niti's role as a credible convener of policy dialogue in the province.
Build a structured social media presence to promote evidence-based policy ideas to a broad public audience. Content includes accessible policy brief summaries, governance explainers, commentary on provincial developments, and spotlights on fellows and community voices.
Produce short documentary films profiling successful agricultural entrepreneurs from Koshi Province — carrying a positive message that farming can be a dignified and profitable profession, distributed through social and community channels.
Design and deliver training programmes for smallholder farmers based on gaps identified through survey data — covering supply chain management, bank loan procedures, taxation, and production improvement. Outcomes tracked through detailed success case stories.
Local governments in Koshi Province already include a compulsory subject at each level covering local issues and civic life. Niti will contribute entrepreneurship content to that existing syllabus — developing practical, age-appropriate modules that municipalities and rural municipalities can integrate directly. Niti will also organise inter-school ideation bootcamps and student competitions to bring the curriculum content to life.
Facilitate the launch of five new businesses from ideation through to early operation, providing Business Development Services (BDS) and small seed grants. Special preference given to agri-startups and ventures led by women and youth.
Maintain a regular calendar of low-cost public events, workshops, and training sessions to build Niti's visibility and community presence — serving as touchpoints for recruiting research participants, identifying entrepreneurs, and growing our network.
Build and maintain a publicly accessible, searchable repository of policies relevant to agriculture, tourism, and business in Koshi Province. The repository consolidates provincial and local government policy documents, Niti's own research and briefs, and key national policies applicable to the region.
